Alcoholics Anonymous is a fellowship of men and women who share their experience, strength and hope with each other that they may solve their common problem and help others to recover from alcoholism. The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop drinking. There are no dues or fees for AA membership; we are self-supporting through our own contributions. AA is not allied with any sect, denomination, politics, organization, or institution; does not wish to engage in any controversy; neither endorses nor opposes any causes. Our primary purpose is to stay sober and help other alcoholics to achieve sobriety.

Special Announcement: Bridging the Gap in District 70

Bridging the Gap is a program designed to help people leaving treatment facilities connect with members of Alcoholics Anonymous in the area they will be going once discharged. The volunteer helps the newcomer by taking them to meetings and helping them get started in AA recovery “on the outside.” Many of these newcomers are returning to this area from a facility that is out of state; often, they will not know anyone in recovery here. We match the newcomer with volunteers (with at least 1 year of sobriety) by zip code, gender and if possible, age. See P-49 “Bridging the Gap” for more information.

Or, go to our page!    http://btgww.org/

If you are interested in participating in this program, either as a volunteer or a newcomer requesting help, or if you have any questions, please call 1- 888-830-3155.  Messages are confidential and are checked frequently.

Thank you, Dana K.. BTG coordinator.
